Quote for the Day

“Of all the music that reached farthest into heaven, it is the beating of a loving heart.”

~Henry Ward Beecher

…here tonight. But it’s Christmas time. Everyone knows I am usually so upbeat, but I can deserve a moment or two thankyouverymuch.

In spite of all the hustle and bustle and the parties and the food and drink and the presents, there are more important things we need to focus on.

Things that truly matter.

A very wise, loving man teaches me by his example.

To listen. To watch. To feel. To know.

If we still our souls for a moment we hear what is not being said. We see what is not being shown. We feel what flutters beneath the surface. And then we know what we should have known all along.

He is a very wise, loving man indeed.

Beautiful Sandy, just beautiful.

I’m glad I could make you laugh tonight – that’s actually the first bit of comedy I’ve written in a while. But I have to ask – are you okay?

Michelle Says:

You might want to lay off the eggnog ;) I’m just kidding. Sounds like you are very sentimental indeed! Must be that smashing quote some dear sweet friend sent you.

Devon Ellington Says:

For all the chaos in HWB’s life, he also had wonderful, true ideas and did a lot of good. Have you ever read OTHER POWERS by Barbara Goldsmith? Read it — it’s a social history of post-Civil War and HWB’s a big part of it.

And, the words are true.

Stillness is so important, because then we can let the space fill we love.

Dennie Says:

I am usually sarcastic, flip or trying to be funny – but I got nothing for that …

Have a wonderful holiday – LOVE YOU!

Sandy Says:

Bailey: I am fine, thanks. Just a sad moment there. But how are you holding up?

Michelle:

Devon: You are so correct. Sometimes we miss the important things because we are too busy doing the inconsequential ones.

Dennie: Love ya too! Aren’t we due a Chili’s escapade? And is the book available YET???
